Winter Shipping Insurance
The deal:
Complete coverage for your entire order is $6.99. This covers all plants in your order.
In the event your plant arrives dead or severely damaged due to cold damage, we will replace or provide store credit for the plants that were damaged. We highly recommend purchasing insurance especially when temperatures in your area are below 45 degrees Fahrenheit.
At Canopy we take every precaution to ensure the safe arrival of your plant. We check the weather along its expected route, use special insulated packaging and/or a heat pack as well as shipping only on certain days. If we feel its necessary to hold your order for cold weather related reasons we will contact you asap.
Keep in mind, even though the temperatures in your city may be above 45 degrees, your package will likely travel through states which are colder before arriving at your door.
Whats not covered by insurance?
Normal shipping stress, broken stems or damaged leaves. All plants go through some degree of stress when being shipped, though it's not always immediately obvious. It is common for a leaf to be damaged, yellow or wilt during the stress of shipping. A healthy root system is the most important thing so losing a leaf from time to time is really no big deal. If you feel your situation is beyond normal shipping stress, please contact us within 12 hours of receiving your package.
Packages lost by the carrier or stolen post delivery are not covered. These claims must be filed through the carrier.
What if my plant was damaged in transit?
If your order is damaged in transit and you purchased insurance, you are eligible for a store credit for value of the plant, minus shipping charges. Please do not throw away the box or shipping materials as we will need photos of everything to process a claim with the carrier.
What happens if I forgot to add insurance?
If your order hasn't shipped and you'd like to add insurance please email us as soon as possible at info@canopyplantco.com and include your order number so that we can quickly process your request. Sorry, we cannot add insurance after your order has shipped.

If you need to make a claim just email us at info@canopyplantco.com within 12 hours of receiving your order.
Please include:
- At least 3 photos of the damaged plants from different angles
- A detailed explanation of what happened
- Your name
- Your order number
