Philodendron tortum is an uncommon rare indoor tropical plant that is highly sought after by collectors and new plant lovers alike! This species has highly fenestrated pinnate leaves. If you want to watch the leaves get larger, then make sure you attach your new plant to a pole or other support structure.
This plant makes a great easy care indoor plant because it requires minimal attention.
Philodendron tortum care:
Provide your plant with a brightly lit location so that it receives bright indirect light. Allow the soil to dry out between watering, taking care not to let it sit in excess water.
Philodendron is one of the most popular genuses of Aroid that are currently in cultivation, with over 450 named cultivars.
Philodendron vary greatly in their natural habits, but you will find a large number of them located in Latin America. Their leaves range from small to medium to large to gigantic! You'll find Philodendron with smooth, glossy foliage and some with velvety foliage!
If you allow Philodendron to climb, their foliage will usually get much larger the higher up they get. While this isn't true for all Philodendron species -- it is for most. We recommend a coco pole to really get your Philodendron growing!
For the most part, Philodendron are easy to care for.
The name Philodendron comes from the greek words "philo" (love or affection) and "dendron" (tree).
Very small based on picture. In good shape however and look forward to seeing the growth.
I absolutely love my tortum. It’s wonderful! It arrived on time and was well packaged.
She came beautifully wrapped and excellent health. She’s already put out a new leaf. Great service.
Great packing for this unique foliage plant. The pot had two plants in it. Upon inspection I realized one of the plants had broken so I decided to propagate it. I called Canopy and the owner picked up. He gave me great suggestions to use in propagating my cutting and was gracious enough to answer all my questions. Thank you for a good experience.
