Peperomia Caperata 'Quito' has leaves that really remind us of fall! They tend to be orange, light red, light yellow and other autumn hues. Peperomia are mostly epiphytic and do NOT like to sit in excess water. They tend to stay on the shorter side, reaching about 10” in height and when they bloom they produce a multitude of inflorescences.
Peperomia is part of the family Piperaceae and contains atleast 2,000 different species! These species vary greatly, with some that have thick, glossy foliage and others with thinner leaves.
Most Peperomia that are widely found in cultivation are very easy to care for and do not require high humidity.
You'll find Peperomia growing in a wide range of environments from rocky terrains, attached to trees and even in water!
