$39.99
Care

 Bright indirect light

Allow soil to dry almost completely

This plant is currently out of stock.

Peperomia rugosa 'Harmony's Great Pumpkin' has thick, orange glossy leaves with red under them.  As the plant matures, the leaf margins exhibit a lime green coloring.

These are a sport mutation of Peperomia rugosa and are native to Ecuador and Peru.  This species prefers cooler temperatures and will not thrive if grown outside in a hot summer climate, making this a perfect indoor plant!

Caring for your Peperomia rugosa 'Harmony's Great Pumpkin' is pretty easy.  Make sure your plant is in a well draining soil rich in organic matter.  It's important that the soil be allowed to dry out almost completely between watering.  Provide your plant with medium to bright indirect light but avoid direct sunlight as it can scorch the leaves.

Additional information:

Peperomia is part of the family Piperaceae and contains atleast 2,000 different species! These species vary greatly, with some that have thick, glossy foliage and others with thinner leaves.

Most Peperomia that are widely found in cultivation are very easy to care for and do not require high humidity.

You'll find Peperomia growing in a wide range of environments from rocky terrains, attached to trees and even in water!
