Australian tree fern is a spectacular evergreen fern variety that grows more like a tree, with a palm feel. These plants grow tall if grown outside on partial to full shade, up to 20’. As an indoor plant, this fern won't get that large but you should expect a larger plant in time.
The Australian tree fern does require a little more attention than others but can easily be made into a focal point of any room in your house.
Caring for your Australian tree fern is fairly easy but they do require a little extra attention. Make sure your plant is in a well draining soil that is rich in organic matter. Allow your plant to dry out about halfway between watering, taking care to not allow it to sit in excess water. It's important that you do not allow your tree fern to completely dry out. Provide your plant with bright indirect light.
