Alocasia chantrieri has leaves that emerge an iridescent blue! This species is a hybrid of Alocasia metallica and Alocasia sanderiana. As an indoor plant, Alocasia chantrieri would make a great addition to any home as they adapt easily to most home environments.
This species produces pillowy foliage with undulating margins that demands attention.
Caring for your new Alocasia is simple as they require little attention. Allow the soil to dry out almost completely between watering. Provide your plant with bright indirect light. Make sure to keep your plant away from cold drafts.

Alocasia is a genus of plants in the Aroid family native to many parts of Asia including but not limited to Indonesia, Malaysia, Philippines and Australia.
There are at least 90 officially recognized Alocasia species, with more discovered and properly named every year. Alocasia come in all sizes, from small to large. Jewel types like Black Velvet tend to stay on the bushier, more compact side.
Alocasia are rhizomatous or tuberous and self reproduce from corms.
Alocasia can go dormant during the cooler months, so try to provide your plant with temperatures above 50deg to ensure that they stay happy and healthy during this period.

I live in Pennsylvania and I opted to to get the winter protection as I received these plants in January. Love the color on this alocasia! The dark shimmer of the leaves sold me on snagging this before it sold out again, and I'm very glad I did! Arrived with 3 solid leaves and can't wait to see a new one.

Plant arrived with 2 new leaves about to unfurl and rather large for a 4” pot. Very pretty shape and color is beautiful with a very thin outline of a lighter green.

I bought 2 of these plants they’re acclimating well and pushing new leaves.
This plant arrived a couple days ago and is doing wonderful. Once it plumped up from shipping it has been lifting up and pushing out a new leaf. Can't wait to see this plant grow!
The alocaisa came a couple days ago and it was a little bent but it’s been recovering and it’s doing great. I love the dark teal leaves and the purple stomata and there’s another leaf growing in!!!!! 10/10 would recommend
