Calathea, which are commonly referred to as a "Prayer Plant", is a genus of flowering plants in the family Marantaceae. Most Calathea species will fold their leaves up at night, similar to praying hands.
Calathea are collected and prized for their uniquely patterned foliage. You'll find all types of colorful foliage within this genus, from bright pink neon to deep red to yellow and white -- Calathea has it all!
Calathea do flower, but they tend to not be very showy or colorful.
You'll find that your Calathea will be happiest with above average humidity and medium to bright indirect light.
Recently, up to 200 former Calathea species were reclassified into the genus Goeppertia.
This is a lovely plant and I am delighted with it. It is a great size for a 4" pot. It came in quickly and packaged well.
This is my first calathea. I’ve heard they’re fickle, so I never cared to buy one. Then, I saw the white fusion!
Such a beautiful, crisp, striking variegation. I’m regretting passing on them for so long.

Well packaged, and quick shipping. I don't live far, but I just don't make it over that way often. I was so excited (Locally most even the plant shops talk about yall fondly), when I put in my order that I missed 2 plants I'd been meaning to order. I called up Canopy and asked if my original order hadn't been shipped if they could just ship the two plants I had missed at the same time. They were great and friendly. The white fusion was healthy and happy and very good size and wasn't crispy around the edges like most calathea when shipped because of having to be dried out to be shipped. I have placed 2 more orders since. I wait weekly for any new stock updates as well.
