Alocasia brancifolia is an uncommon indoor plant with lush, split foliage that gives Philodendron vibes! This species is known for its striking split leaves that become more dramatic as they mature, making it an attractive addition to any home.
Alocasia brancifolia care:
This plant prefers a well draining soil that is rich in organic matter. Allow your plant to dry out almost completely between watering, taking care to not allow it to sit in excess water. Provide your plant with medium to bright indirect light, taking care to not expose it to harsh direct afternoon light.
Additional information:
Alocasia is a genus of plants in the Aroid family native to many parts of Asia including but not limited to Indonesia, Malaysia, Philippines and Australia.
There are at least 90 officially recognized Alocasia species, with more discovered and properly named every year. Alocasia come in all sizes, from small to large. Jewel types like Black Velvet tend to stay on the bushier, more compact side.
Alocasia are rhizomatous or tuberous and self reproduce from corms.
Alocasia can go dormant during the cooler months, so try to provide your plant with temperatures above 50deg to ensure that they stay happy and healthy during this period.
I don't often literally gasp when i unpack my plants, but this one was even prettier than i expected, reminds me of several of my Philos but so graceful and unique. This package made me smile so much!

Got an Alocasia Jacklyn
A kind customer service representative reached out to me to let me know that the Alocasia Brancifolia I had ordered was not in stock. They presented me with the choice to select a different plant, wait for a restock, or receive a refund. Opting for a new plant, I decided on the Alocasia Jacklyn.
Upon receiving my order from Canopy Plant Co., I was delighted to find a stunning Alocasia Jacklyn waiting for me. It boasted two large, gorgeous leaves and three smaller ones. The stems displayed an intricate pattern, and the leaves were truly unique. I absolutely adore this plant, and it arrived in perfect condition thanks to the careful shipping.

Absolutely amazing!
I bought one of these a few weeks ago and it is really stunning. You will not find this species very often, it is quite uncommon. The plant arrived in great condition and is doing really well so far! I have it in my bathroom where it can enjoy the added humidity from the shower.
