Anthurium veitchii is a truly amazing species that is sure to be a show stopper in any area that it is grown! The leaves on this plant can grow up to 10' long and display prominent ripples along the leaf surface.
Anthurium veitchii grows best in a hanging basket but will grow just fine in a pot if given a coco pole or other support structure to attach to.
Anthurium veitchii care:
Provide your plant with a well draining soil that is rich in organic matter. Allow the soil to dry out about halfway between watering, taking care to not allow it to sit in excess water. This plant does not like to completely dry out. Proper airflow is a must for this plant. They love bright indirect light but will do just fine in medium indirect light.

Anthurium is a large genus of ornamental, mostly epiphytic plants. Some species of Anthurium do have a terrestrial growth habit.
Anthurium are native to tropical areas of Latin America. They grow in a wide variety of climates, ranging from lowland to higher elevations. Certain species need high humidity, while others will grow just fine in ambient household humidity.
Their foliage varies greatly, with some having thick corrugated textures and others with velvety textures.
Anthurium prefer a well draining soil, rich in organic matter.
They are prized for their ease of care and their sometimes showy, colorful flowers.
Anthurium can thrive in lower light but grow faster in brighter indirect light.

I fell for this plant when I saw a pic of it grown and when I saw canopy had it, I could not resist. So far care suggested has been easy and I am so happy. All the plants I have gotten recently were huge and healthy. This one was 2 inch and roots coming out of the pot bottom. I waited to repot but since I have recently he is very happy. I think I may have a new leaf begining as well. He was packaged well and only had one little comestic rip on a small part of a leaf. I named him Hatuey, as in my tribe recognizes a very important cheif. It fits him.. or will as he grows.
