4" Alocasia 'Olanii'

Alocasia 'Olanii' is a relatively new, undescribed species of elephant ear from Kalimantan in Indonesia.  It's closely related to Alocasia 'Antoro Velvet', but it does not have black foliage or the ciliata.  Instead, this Alocasia plant has deep, dark green foliage that tends to feel a little soft and grows large, arrow shaped foliage.

Alocasia 'Olanii' care:

This Alocasia prefers a well draining soil that is rich in organic matter.  Allow the soil to dry out about 3/4 of the way before watering, as it's better to let this plant dry out a little more than other Alocasia species or cultivars.  Provide your elephant ear with plenty of bright indirect light for optimal growth throughout the growing season.  To maintain consistent foliage, it's import to fertilize your Alocasia with a balanced fertilizer (5-5-5) every other watering.
