Monstera acacoyaguensis is a rare and stunning species of Monstera plant. It's characterized by its large, uniquely shaped leaves with distinct fenestrations (natural holes and splits). Monstera acacoyaguensis often has a glossy, dark green hue and the leaves can grow quite large, making it an attractive choice for plant enthusiasts. However, this particular species can be more challenging to find compared to more common varieties like Monstera deliciosa or Monstera adansonii. Its rarity makes it a sought-after addition to plant collections among enthusiasts.
In order for your Monstera acacoyaguensis to fenestrate you'll need to give it a coco pole or other support structure for it to climb.
Monstera acacoyaguensis care:
This Monstera plant prefers a well draining soil that is rich in organic matter. Allow your plant to dry out about 3/4 of the way before watering, taking care to not allow it to sit in excess water. Provide your new Monstera with plenty of bright indirect light.

Monstera, also referred to as "Swiss Cheese Plant", are a type of aroid native to many different countries in Latin America. Monstera can be found growing in its natural habitat in Costa Rica, Mexico, Brazil, Ecuador, Colombia, etc.
In the wild, Monstera have a variety of growth habits. They can climb or spread as ground cover. If they are allowed to climb, Monstera leaves will become much larger and begin to fenestrate. They are semi-epiphytic.
Monstera can grow in low indirect light but prefer medium to bright indirect light. If grown in low light conditions their growth will slow.
They tend to be easy to care for and make a great addition to any houseplant collection.
