Begonia ‘Crackling Rosie’ is an upright cane begonia known for its bold foliage. New leaves emerge in a warm bronze tone before deepening to dark green, speckled with shimmering silver spots. The undersides are a rich red, which becomes especially noticeable as the naturally curled leaves reveal flashes of color.

This cultivar was hybridized by Walter Dworkin and named after the Neil Diamond song. While it isn’t a frequent bloomer, it occasionally produces generous clusters of soft pink flowers that complement its striking leaves.

Begonia 'Crackling Rosie' makes a perfect indoor plant.  Their unique foliage will mesmerize anyone who gazes upon it!  These plants generally grow to about 3-4' inside your home.  If placed outside in a warm, shaded area, they can easily turn into small bushes!

Begonia 'Crackling Rosie' care:

This particular Begonia cultivar prefers a well draining soil that is rich in organic matter.  Allow the soil to dry out almost completely between watering, taking care to not allow it to sit in excess water.  Provide it with bright indirect light.
