Philodendron billietiae 'Black' is a supposed hybrid of Philodendron billietiae and Philodendron atabapoense. The leaves have the undulating leaf margins like Philodendron billietiae and the maroon underside of the leaf similar to Philodendron atabapoense.
Philodendron billietiae 'Black' has some slight controversy surrounding it as these two species do not grow in the same areas in the wild. It's possible this is truly a hybrid or it could be a variation of Philodendron billietiae, but with a black or maroon leaf.
Philodendron billietiae 'Black' care:
This Philodendron is quite easy to care for. It prefers a well draining soil that is rich in organic matter. Allow the soil to dry out almost completely before watering. Provide your new indoor plant with plenty of bright indirect light.

6” Philodendron billietiae x atabapoense 'Black'?

I love this plant
The leaves are so beautiful and dark, with the purple red undercolor. It’s one of the easiest plants I own. I just make sure this plant never fully dries out and it kicks out a new leaf about once a month.
Sounds like it's thriving! That color combo is such a showstopper—and gotta love a plant that gives back with steady new leaves!

Gorgeous Foliage
I snagged the 3" pot size & WOW! What stunning leaves! I can't wait to watch it grow into the size of the 6" I've seen!!! The darker foliage is just gorgeous!
