Monstera Burle Marx Flame is a very rare and uncommon species that produces extremely unique foliage that resembles the flame of a torch!
This species loves to climb so make sure to provide it with a coco pole or other support structure. As it climbs higher, the leaves will grow larger and fenestrate.
Monstera Burle Marx Flame care:
This plant prefers a well draining soil that is rich in organic matter. Allow the plant to dry out almost completely before watering, taking care to not allow it to sit in excess water. Provide your new Monstera with plenty of bright indirect light.
NOTE: Not every plant will have fenestrations, but all are well on the way to them!

Monstera, also referred to as "Swiss Cheese Plant", are a type of aroid native to many different countries in Latin America. Monstera can be found growing in its natural habitat in Costa Rica, Mexico, Brazil, Ecuador, Colombia, etc.
In the wild, Monstera have a variety of growth habits. They can climb or spread as ground cover. If they are allowed to climb, Monstera leaves will become much larger and begin to fenestrate. They are semi-epiphytic.
Monstera can grow in low indirect light but prefer medium to bright indirect light. If grown in low light conditions their growth will slow.
They tend to be easy to care for and make a great addition to any houseplant collection.
First time buyer here! I received the Monstera Burl plant 7 in pot today. My neighbors probably heard me screaming for joy when I opened the box. Its lush green sturdy leaves exceeded my expectations. The soil was still moist and it was wrapped securely. Also, the price point is extremely competitive!! I will purchase plants from Canopy! I ordered the 6” Monstera 'Burle Marx Flame' along with a few other plants from Canopy Plant Co., and overall, the experience was mostly positive.
The Monstera 'Burle Marx Flame' is absolutely beautiful—healthy, well-packaged, and true to the photos. It arrived in great condition and is already settling in nicely with some new growth. Definitely a standout plant and I’m very happy with it!
However, I was a bit disappointed with the rest of the plants in my order. They arrived looking more like seedlings and much less established than they appeared in the photos online. I expected more mature plants based on the product images, so that part didn’t quite meet my expectations.
Still, I appreciate the unique selection and careful shipping, and I hope to see the other plants thrive with time.
