Care

 Bright indirect light

Allow soil to dry almost completely between watering

Monstera pinnatipartita has leaves that change quite drastically from their juvenile to mature form.  These are native to South America and are one of the many climbing Monstera species

In their juvenile form, they closely resemble Monstera 'Peru' but as they climb their leaves will become heavily fenestrated, unlike Monstera 'Peru'.

We recommend allowing your Monstera pinnatipartita to climb a coco pole or other support structure.

Caring for your Monstera pinnatipartita is fairly simple as they require little attention.  This plant prefers a well draining soil that is rich in organic matter.  Allow the plant to dry out about 3/4 of the way before watering, taking care to not allow it to sit in excess water.  Provide your plant with bright indirect light.

Additional information:

Monstera, also referred to as "Swiss Cheese Plant", are a type of aroid native to many different countries in Latin America. Monstera can be found growing in its natural habitat in Costa Rica, Mexico, Brazil, Ecuador, Colombia, etc.

In the wild, Monstera have a variety of growth habits. They can climb or spread as ground cover. If they are allowed to climb, Monstera leaves will become much larger and begin to fenestrate. They are semi-epiphytic.

Monstera can grow in low indirect light but prefer medium to bright indirect light. If grown in low light conditions their growth will slow.

They tend to be easy to care for and make a great addition to any houseplant collection.
