Monstera Peru (Monstera karstenianum) is very easy to care for and does well as an indoor plant.
The leaves on this species are thick and bullate (bumpy). This is the more uncommon form with colorfully variegated leaves. Like other Monstera plants, this one loves to climb! Provide it with a pole or other support structure to make it really happy!
Caring for your Monstera Peru couldn't be easier! Simply let the soil dry out between watering, taking care not to let it sit in excess water. Give it plenty of bright indirect light!

Monstera, also referred to as "Swiss Cheese Plant", are a type of aroid native to many different countries in Latin America. Monstera can be found growing in its natural habitat in Costa Rica, Mexico, Brazil, Ecuador, Colombia, etc.
In the wild, Monstera have a variety of growth habits. They can climb or spread as ground cover. If they are allowed to climb, Monstera leaves will become much larger and begin to fenestrate. They are semi-epiphytic.
Monstera can grow in low indirect light but prefer medium to bright indirect light. If grown in low light conditions their growth will slow.
They tend to be easy to care for and make a great addition to any houseplant collection.

Most of the pictures I saw of the variegated Peru were a washed out white variegation. I have a Peru (it’s 8ft tall) and love the texture. I just did not like what I was seeing in the variegated ones. That is until I saw this one from Canopy and saw the Aurea variegation. What a BEAUTY!! I am so excited to have this plant and watch it grow. The variegation is so bold and enhances the texture that makes the Peru special.

Love this plant! My plant came in in a very timely manner. The packaging was very well done and when I received the plant, it was damp in the pot and looked very healthy. I was worried about it because the weather has been so hot but canopy does a wonderful job making sure that they get your plant to you quickly and healthy.
