Monstera siltepecana is a truly spectacular species that has green leaves with large amounts of silver hues. If you're looking for an easy care indoor plant with a nice tropical feel to it, than this one is for you!
Monstera siltepecana prefers to climb in its natural habitat, but will do just fine in a hanging basket or simply allowing it to cascade over the side of a shelf. We recommend providing your plant with a coco pole or other support structure for it to attach to.
Monstera siltepecana care:
These plants prefer a well draining soil that is rich in organic matter. Allow your plant to dry out almost completely between watering, taking care to not let it sit in excess water. Give it bright indirect light and it will be happy!
Additional information:
Monstera, also referred to as "Swiss Cheese Plant", are a type of aroid native to many different countries in Latin America. Monstera can be found growing in its natural habitat in Costa Rica, Mexico, Brazil, Ecuador, Colombia, etc.
In the wild, Monstera have a variety of growth habits. They can climb or spread as ground cover. If they are allowed to climb, Monstera leaves will become much larger and begin to fenestrate. They are semi-epiphytic.
Monstera can grow in low indirect light but prefer medium to bright indirect light. If grown in low light conditions their growth will slow.
They tend to be easy to care for and make a great addition to any houseplant collection.
