Sansevieria Whale Fin (Sansevieria masoniana) is an extremely easy to care for indoor plant. The leaves on this species resemble whale fins (or shark fins, which it is sometimes also called!) and can grow up to 3-4' tall!
Sansevieria Whale Fin isn't the fastest grower but it is certainly the easiest. These plants will take whatever you throw at them! If you tend to under water your plants, this is the perfect plant for you.
Caring for your Sansevieria Whale Fin is very simple. Provide your plant with a well draining soil rich in organic matter. Allow it to dry out completely between watering. Do not allow it to sit in excess water. This plant is tolerant of low light but grows best in bright indirect light.
I am happy with this plant came packed well and was easy to unwrap. I’m a new plant mom and this was on my list. I will be ordering from Canopy again!
The plant was packaged well for travel. The plant looked healthy with an established “fin” and pup.

This is one of my favorite plants that I really wanted to replace because had to part with a very large plant because of my cross country move. The pictured plant made me think I would get at least 2 fins but only got one fin. I know it will grow.
It came shipped packaged beautifully and was bigger than anticipated.
She's in perfect shape and was packaged snug and careful! And also so big. The original cutting was a good size and the pup is already larger than it!
