Care

 Bright indirect light

Allow soil to dry almost completely between watering

Monstera lechleriana variegated is a tropical indoor plant renowned for its iconic split leaves, or fenestrations.  This is the variegated form which boasts colorful leaves with a mix of white and green.

Monstera lechleriana variegated loves to climb, so we recommend providing it with a coco pole or other support structure.  If not allowed to climb it will produce leafless runners.

Monstera lechleriana variegated care:

This plant prefers a well draining soil that is rich in organic matter.  Allow the soil to dry out almost completely between watering, taking care to not allow it to sit in excess water.  Provide your plant with plenty of bright indirect light for optimal growth.

Additional information:

Monstera, also referred to as "Swiss Cheese Plant", are a type of aroid native to many different countries in Latin America. Monstera can be found growing in its natural habitat in Costa Rica, Mexico, Brazil, Ecuador, Colombia, etc.

In the wild, Monstera have a variety of growth habits. They can climb or spread as ground cover. If they are allowed to climb, Monstera leaves will become much larger and begin to fenestrate. They are semi-epiphytic.

Monstera can grow in low indirect light but prefer medium to bright indirect light. If grown in low light conditions their growth will slow.

They tend to be easy to care for and make a great addition to any houseplant collection.

So big!

Way bigger than I expected! I actually propped a few pieces shortly after I got her because she was so big she wasn’t going to fit on my trellis! Putting out lots of new growth points now! Canopy plants definitely delivered on this Monstera!

Larger than expected

My plant arrived healthy and quickly, and was larger than expected. It has struggled a little to acclimate to its new home. I lost about 4 leaves, and several of the leaves that are left are looking a little sad. That said, new growth is on the way!! And I think this baby will recover well!
