Care

 Bright indirect light

Allow soil to dry almost completely

Scindapsus Platinum is an uncommon tropical indoor plant that sports heart shaped leaves that are almost completely silver.

This plant loves to climb so provide it with a pole or other support structure to attach to.

Caring for your Scindapsus Platinum is fairly easy, but it does require a little extra attention.  This plant loves higher than average humidity to mimic its natural habitat.  Allow your plant to dry out about halfway between watering, taking care to not allow it to sit in excess water.  Provide it with plenty of bright indirect light.

Additional information:

Scindapsus are native to tropical areas in Southeast Asia.

While easily confused with and sometimes referred to as Pothos, they are in fact their own genus!

Scindapsus has quickly began gaining popularity as an easy to care for houseplant with unique colorful foliage.

The most common Scindapsus species, pictus, has many different variations -- all extremely popular and collectable. Their foliage comes in an assortment of colors but generally you'll find them with lots of silver and green variegation.

Generally easy to care for, Scindapsus will tell you when they're thirsty! Their leaves will curl as a signal that they need to be watered.

Scindapsus are commonly used in hanging baskets, but they also love to climb! We recommend a coco pole for these plants so they maintain nice sized foliage.

Sizing information:

A Trailing Plant?!

Okay so of course you’re not going to receive the exact plant in the photo, but I was floored on delivery day when I unbox a trailing platinum! She was very stressed from shipping and I’m sure the abrupt temperature change (it’s been cool and raining in August in California it’s crazy) but even with that and pushing nutrients so far she was simply thirsty. And needing a repot, the roots are crazy. Super unexpected but very happy.

Stunning!

She's bright and silvery. I'm going to put her with my other Scindapsus.
