Anthurium polyschistum has foliage that is deeply pinnatifid, with the leaf cut into slender segments by deep divisions toward the midrib.
The outline looks fern-like rather than like a solid shield-shaped leaf. Vein pattern or striping is often a clear feature of the foliage. Later leaves usually show clearer shape and surface detail than early growth.
Anthurium polyschistum generally grows more slowly indoors, especially while it is establishing. Periods between new leaves can be longer than on faster-growing tropical foliage plants. Leaf size and stem length usually increase gradually as the plant matures.
