Calathea Stella has white variegated leaves that display pale green stripes along the center of each leaf.
What sets this Calathea plant apart from Calathea 'White Fusion' is that the leaf margins are undulating or ruffled and the variegation is slightly different. Additionally, Calathea Stella leaves tend to grow a bit larger and it can tolerate lower light levels.

Calathea, which are commonly referred to as a "Prayer Plant", is a genus of flowering plants in the family Marantaceae. Most Calathea species will fold their leaves up at night, similar to praying hands.
Calathea are collected and prized for their uniquely patterned foliage. You'll find all types of colorful foliage within this genus, from bright pink neon to deep red to yellow and white -- Calathea has it all!
Calathea do flower, but they tend to not be very showy or colorful.
You'll find that your Calathea will be happiest with above average humidity and medium to bright indirect light.
Recently, up to 200 former Calathea species were reclassified into the genus Goeppertia.
I purchased Stella early on a Monday morning, and she was here by Wednesday afternoon. She arrived healthy, much larger than I expected (especially compared to what I've received ordering elsewhere), and with minimal to no shock. She's been surprisingly easy to care for and has a ton of new growth already in just a couple weeks. Stella has become one of my favorites, and so has Canopy Plants!
I love calatheas and this one is by far the most beautiful one I own now! She came in great condition, so much bigger than I expected, and was already putting out a new leaf! I’ve had her for 2 weeks now and she’s already putting out more new leaves. I could not be happier! I got several other plants in that order and all arrived in fantastic condition and are doing well in their new home. This was my first order from Canopy but I can already tell there will be many more. So happy with every plant I received.
I have a couple White Fusions that act up during winter and curl/dimple leaves, dry and turn brown, etc. Every spring they come back pretty and push out tons of growth... BUT.... Fusions can be annoying and moody. I wanted to try a Stella. Let me tell you this plant is gorgeous!!!! Nothing brown or curling just pure beauty. The Stella totally outshines the Fusion - Just Buy One!
