Golden Chicken Fern is a very rare and unusual type of fern that grows from a rhizome. In order to awaken, or should we say hatch, your fern -- it needs high humidity. Once these plants start to put out fronds, they will also begin to root. These plants are native to East Asia.
Golden Chicken Fern care:
This fern enjoys a soil that drains well but can retain a good amount of moisture. Water your fern when the soil is about half way dry. Never allow your fern to remain dry for extended periods. Provide your new Golden Chicken fern with plenty of medium to bright indirect light for optimal growth.
Note: Since this plant grows from a rhizome, you are purchasing a rhizome in soil. It will not root until it starts to develop fronds.
