Hoya megalaster is native to areas of Papua New Guinea. Due to its tropical nature, it absolutely thrives on heat and humidity. This Hoya species is a prolific grower and bloomer if grown in a warm and high humidity environment.
The foliage is very peculiar, oblong but with deep recessed pockets along the leaf surface as it matures.

This wax plant prefers a well draining soil that is rich in organic matter.
