4" Platycerium veitchii (Silver Staghorn Fern)

$14.99

Platycerium veitchii is a type of staghorn fern that is native to Queensland, Australia.  While similar to Platycerium bifurcatum, this species has silver hairs that cover the fronds which gives it the silvery appearance.  Once the plant matures, the fronds are much more narrow than other Staghorn fern species.

In it's natural environment, this Staghorn fern grows in semi-arid conditions and can withstand extremely hot temperatures!

Platycerium veitchii care:

This Staghorn fern prefers a well draining soil that is rich in organic matter.  Allow the soil to dry out about 3/4 of the way before watering.  Provide your Platycerium veitchii with plenty of bright indirect light.
