This plant prefers a well draining soil that is rich in organic matter. Allow the soil to dry out almost completely before watering, taking care to not allow it to sit in excess water. Syngonium, also referred to as "Arrowhead Plant", are a type of aroid native to many different countries in Latin America and several states in the US. Syngonium can be found growing in its natural habitat in Malaysia, Costa Rica, Mexico, Brazil, Florida, Louisiana and Texas.
In the wild, Syngonium have a variety of growth habits. They can climb or spread as ground cover. If they are allowed to climb, Syngonium leaves will become much larger and have pronounced lobes.
Syngonium can grow in low indirect light but prefer medium to bright indirect light. If grown in low light conditions their growth will slow.
They tend to be easy to care for and make a great addition to any houseplant collection.

After some weeks of having a strawberry ice, leaves are popping up like crazy!
I was never a fan of this plant, but, I took a chance as I know Canopy has quality plants. Did not disappoint! I ordered 2 and they are spectacular. Different than my other 10 plus syngonium's. Big leaves, beautiful colors, just amazing. Coming back for a 3rd!
I'd been eyeing this plant for a while and I am so happy to finally have it in my collection! The leaves on the plant I got are even prettier than the image on the website. Shipping was delayed (no fault of Canopy) and my order ended up in being in transit for 7 days. The plants were a little unhappy upon unboxing, but with a thorough soak and some love, they all seem to be bouncing back beautifully.
I am so happy I ordered Syngonium Strawberry Ice (SSI.) It is a GORGEOUS plant. My SSI is already popping out new growth. The color is vibrant and the plant is very healthy.
