Bird of Paradise (Strelitzia nicolai) is widely known for their uniquely shaped flowers that closely resemble a bird in flight! These tropical shrubs are found in abundance growing outside as landscaping in tropical to sub-tropical areas of the United States.
The foliage is green, oblong and paddle shaped. As an indoor plant, if given the correct amount of light, Bird of Paradise can grow up to 6-8' tall! When grown outside, you can expect your plant to reach a height of at least 10' tall!
Caring for your Bird of Paradise is relatively simple but make sure you can provide enough light for it! These plants prefer a well draining soil that is rich in organic matter. Allow your plant to dry out almost completely between watering, taking care to not allow it to sit in excess water. Provide your plant with very bright indirect light -- even some direct morning sun is perfectly ok!
Healthy, beautiful plants
I was so excited to receive my first purchase from this company after looking at their TikTok page for so long,but was sad once it arrived. The plant was infested with thrips, it does have a new growth point but all of the older leaves had brown spots on them. Now I am in the process of treating the plant. I did also order a Monster Standleyana and that plant was fine, but is under treatment as well because they were packaged together. A more careful look needs to be done when sending out plants. I am a repeat customer to a few online plant shops and never had this occur.
Was well packaged and plant arrived beautifully
I got my plant about 2 weeks ago and it traveled well, showed up in great condition, and acclimated well after being unboxed. It's even pushing out a new leaf at the moment!
Just because you guys a great here is to another plant, 4th one first order will definitely order again all plants came packaged well and all beautiful plants
