Hoya linearis is a rare vining plant that has uniquely shaped foliage.  This plants leaves are thin and needle shaped.  This particular species is a cool growing Hoya from the tropical Himalayas.

Hoya linearis prefers cooler temperatures and higher humidity -- temperatures in the mid 60s to upper 70s are preferred, which makes this the perfect indoor plant.

Hoya linearis care:

This plant prefers a well draining soil that is rich in organic matter.  Allow your new Hoya to dry out about 3/4 of the way before watering -- if the leaves become thin and noticeably less plump then it's time to water!  Take care to not allow your Hoya to sit in excess water.  Provide your Hoya with plenty of bright indirect light.

I should’ve bought two.

I love the packaging, overall health & swift delivery from Canopy Plants. I was more concerned about the linearis since it looks so delicate. After watering & the heat mat it’s acclimated well to its new home. I’ll wait another month or so before transplanting. It’s wearing the yellow bird of shame (sticky tape) cause it’s the only plant still in soil in the cabinet.

I’ve been wanting a Hoya Linearis for a while so I was so excited to find this 4” one! Packaging was amazing and it arrived so quickly. It did lose a few leaves but that’s to be expected with this plant. Overall she seems very healthy and is adjusting well to her new home!

Love this plant

If you have the opportunity to visit their greenhouse, do so! I was able to look at different plants and chose the one I liked the most.

Finally Got One!

I’ve been looking for a hoya linearis for a while now, and finally ordered one! It came with some new growth and a peduncle (which unfortunately fell off, probably a little stressed from its journey and I probably should have watered it sooner…), but it’s been growing a ton in the short time I’ve had it!
