Philodendron melanochrysum are an extraordinary species, commonly referred to as "Black and Gold". They get this name from the new leaves emerging a gold color and then slowly fading to a dark green/black.
Philodendron melanochrysum will grow large elongated leaves if you allow them to climb! It's best to give them a pole or other support structure to attach to so they can live their best life!
These make a great indoor plant and will be the centerpiece of any room!
Philodendron melanochrysum care:
Ensure that your plant receives bright indirect light. Allow the soil to dry out almost completely between watering as they do not like to sit in excess water.

His name is Saints
This plant is stunning and ready for action. He adds that perfect deep green color to my collection. Very easy to take care of. He came in perfectly packaged with his heat package and snuggled in his wrap. He had no flaws or blemishes. I ordered one day and my plant was at the door the next day. Its been 19 day since he arrived and he has new foliage (black and gold). I'm never disappointed with Canopy. I Thank Yall

Not sure what happened
I was excited to add this gorgeous plant to my collection, but when it arrived most of the larger leaves were droopy and have since died and fallen off. I'm not sure if it was the cold or just the plant being sensitive. There are two leaves left on the plant and I keep getting mold growth on the stem, so I have been cutting it back. Fingers crossed it bounces back! Summary: gorgeous but sensitive!

Gorgeous Philodendron melanochrysum
Just received my order and the philo melanochrysum was perfect! Healthy, beautiful color and with some new growth showing. I love that they always include a heat pack with orders in the winter even though the shipping times are super fast.
