Alocasia azlanii is a jewel type or miniature elephant ear species. The leaves on this plant are round and green with a purple backdrop. If you look closely the foliage has a slight glimmer to it!
Alocasia azlanii care:
This plant prefers a well draining soil rich in organic matter. Allow your plant to dry out between watering as they don't like to sit in water. Alocasia azlanii does best in bright indirect light but will tolerate lower light levels.

Alocasia is a genus of plants in the Aroid family native to many parts of Asia including but not limited to Indonesia, Malaysia, Philippines and Australia.
There are at least 90 officially recognized Alocasia species, with more discovered and properly named every year. Alocasia come in all sizes, from small to large. Jewel types like Black Velvet tend to stay on the bushier, more compact side.
Alocasia are rhizomatous or tuberous and self reproduce from corms.
Alocasia can go dormant during the cooler months, so try to provide your plant with temperatures above 50deg to ensure that they stay happy and healthy during this period.

This was 1st time ordering plants online. Canopy had both of the plants of interest and they looked very healthy in the pictures. My only complaint is having to order a replacement for the Alocasia Black Velvet (sold out)…this will not stop me from ordering from Canopy.
I received my Azlanii and it is a very pretty plant. I expected it to have more than two leaves but that's ok. It did come with a droopy flower that never opened so I eventually cut it off. It's now giving me another.😂

The plant arrived packaged so secure it was difficult to get out, and the heat pack was still warm. It is stunning, has five leaves and the biggest one is the size of my hand! It’s currently growing a new leaf, and it came with a sprouted corm!

Plants came healthy and green
The pictures don't do this plant justice...within the dark glossy foliage is purple veining and it's absolutely gorgeous. Sometimes I just stare at this plant in awe because it almost has an iridescent shift to it.
