Care

 Bright indirect light

Allow soil to dry almost completely

 Pet friendly

Hoya benitotanii is named after Benito Tan who first collected this plant in the Philippines.  This Hoya plant can take almost any growing condition you can throw at it -- it will tolerate dry, humid, chilly (but not freezing!) and very hot.

This species was sold for many years under the now defunct name of Hoya gigantanganensis.

The leaves get quite large, even larger than the blooms!  The blooms are a creamy white color and do not tend to bloom prolifically.

Hoya benitotanii care:

This Hoya plant prefers a well draining soil that is rich in organic matter.  Allow the soil to dry out almost completely before watering, taking care to not allow your Hoya plant to sit in excess water for an extended period.  Provide your Hoya benitotanii with plenty of bright indirect light for a happy, thriving indoor plant.
