Hoya insularis is an extremely unique and jaw dropping species of Hoya. This plant has long, thin leaves that resemble blades of grass. The leaves are soft and the blooms are an out of this world pink color.
Hoya insularis care:
This plant prefers a well draining soil that is rich in organic matter. Allow your plant to dry out almost completely before watering, taking care to not allow it to sit in excess water. Provide your plant with plenty of bright indirect light for optimal growth.

Hoya, commonly referred to as "Wax Plant" is a genus consisting of over 500 species.
Hoyas are widely cultivated for their aromatic blooms and unique foliage.
They are native to tropical and subtropical areas all around the world. They can be found in Latin America, Asia, Australia, etc.
Mostly epiphytic, you'll find Hoyas love to climb trees in their natural habitats.
Hoyas have a large range of foliage shapes and textures. They can be found with elongated, deeply veined leaves to thin, narrow leaves and everything in between.

I’m very into exploring different leaf shapes and these long thin leaves are so pretty. They seem to Sun stress easy and it came very full. Only lost 2 leaves after shipping. Very impressed at the plant’s resilience, as well as the packing of plants and delivery speed.

It’s a goofy, silly plant but unique and a topic starter! It came in perfect condition and I saw it would start to want to climb so I added a trellis.
Packaged beautifully. Came to me in perfect condition. No damaged leafs which I was expecting because of how stiff and long the leaves are but, every leaf was intact. New growths looked amazing too.

Hoya Insularis was hard to find in stock on several sites or it was priced out of reach. I’m happy to find one here, in stock and reasonably priced compared to other online sellers. As always, the plant arrived on time, well packaged, in great condition and as advertised.
It’s a beautiful unique hoya with thin grass like leaves that have burgundy tones underneath. My plant came with three burgundy tendrils indicating it’s healthy.
