Hoya krohniana Black is one of the more uncommon species of Hoya. The leaves on Hoya krohniana Black are small and spade like with a tint of black and dark margins. If you enjoy dark plants, don't miss out on this one!
Commonly known as Wax Plant, Hoyas are easy to grow indoor vining plants that produce beautiful blooms.
Caring for your Hoya krohniana Black is easy. Let the soil dry out between watering, taking care not to allow them to sit in water. Make sure to give your new Hoya plenty of bright indirect light.

Hoya, commonly referred to as "Wax Plant" is a genus consisting of over 500 species.
Hoyas are widely cultivated for their aromatic blooms and unique foliage.
They are native to tropical and subtropical areas all around the world. They can be found in Latin America, Asia, Australia, etc.
Mostly epiphytic, you'll find Hoyas love to climb trees in their natural habitats.
Hoyas have a large range of foliage shapes and textures. They can be found with elongated, deeply veined leaves to thin, narrow leaves and everything in between.
Most Hoya plants can be considered easy to care for. Here at Canopy Plant Co., we only ship the healthiest Hoyas from our Apopka greenhouse.

I received my Hoya Krohniana Black end of August; it is now mid November and the plant is a stunner! I repotted it after 5 days into a chunky coco chip, perlite, coir mix, and into a smaller 3 inch pot, because the mix it came in was very dense, and the roots were quite sparse for the 4 inch pot size. From there, the plant adjusted for 2 weeks, then it took off! Absolutely love my K. Black! The perfect smaller leaved Hoya. Easy care and beautiful.
This Hoya arrived after 4 days pretty stressed I have been in contact with customer service sending them photos. It may be relaxing some now. The ends of the trailing pieces are yellowed so I am not sure if they are dead or not. Again not really sure where it will be happiest. East window (where my other Hoyas that I have had for some time are)or South window. I am going to repot it this weekend. There isn’t enough soil in the pot. But wanted to give it the full 2 weeks before repotting. Hoping it will turn a corner.

I am new to Hoyas so keep that in mind… this guy is handsome, seems to be doing well in our bathroom with a grow light. He had only a smidge of travel stress/damage; beautifully packed and with a still-warm heat pack. Not much soil in his hanging pot which maybe is normal? I have no idea (see above, new to Hoyas…). Anyway, he is cute, seems happy, hasn’t thrown any hissy fits, and is sprouting some new growth. Excited to see how he does.

Beautiful plant and amazing packaging- ordered 3 plants - great quality- although due to stress or wrong placement ( open window ) I did lose several leaves - move it ti the other side and seems to be doing much better- will buy again ❤️
Well I ordered 3 plants with this order and unfortunately this one was a mess, it was all over he place in the paper and not it it’s pot. I repotted it but it actually wilted and died. Not sure what happened but it’s ok. Shipping happens lol
