Opuntia cochenillifera 'Sunburst', commonly known as a 'Prickly Pear' cactus, is a distinct cultivar with mint green to yellow variegation throughout the paddles.

This a very easy species to care for and while it will grow amazingly well outdoors in hot temperatures with very bright light -- it can also thrive as an indoor plant!

Opuntia cochenillifera care:

This cactus prefers a very well draining soil that is rich in organic matter.  Allow the soil to dry out completely before watering, taking care to not allow your prickly pear cactus to sit in excess water for an extended period.  Provide your Opuntia plant with plenty of bright light!
