4" Philodendron Splendid

 Bright indirect light

Water when top 1-2" of soil is dry

This plant is currently out of stock.

Philodendron Splendid is a unique hybrid of Philodendron melanochrysum and Philodendron verrucosum.  It features stunning velvety leaves with a beautiful red back.

This plant is a climber, so make sure to provide it with a coco pole or other support structure.  As it climbs higher, the leaves will grow larger in size.

Philodendron Splendid care:

This plant enjoys a well draining soil that is rich in organic matter.  Allow the soil to dry out almost completely before watering, taking care to not allow it to sit in excess water.  Provide your new Philodendron with plenty of bright indirect light for optimal growth.

Additional info:

Philodendron is one of the most popular genuses of Aroid that are currently in cultivation, with over 450 named cultivars.

Philodendron vary greatly in their natural habits, but you will find a large number of them located in Latin America. Their leaves range from small to medium to large to gigantic! You'll find Philodendron with smooth, glossy foliage and some with velvety foliage!

If you allow Philodendron to climb, their foliage will usually get much larger the higher up they get. While this isn't true for all Philodendron species -- it is for most. We recommend a coco pole to really get your Philodendron growing!

For the most part, Philodendron are easy to care for.

The name Philodendron comes from the greek words "philo" (love or affection) and "dendron" (tree).

She’s so pretty!

Wow wow wow

Wow, I’m in awe with how beautiful this plant is. I ordered another one from another website and it showed up not nearly as nicely packaged as the one from Canopy. The canopy plant is already pushing out another leaf and I’ve had it for a few days, the Splendid I ordered from another website hasn’t pushed out any growth and has lost about 3 leaves.

If that doesn’t tell you about the quality and passion that Canopy operates on, I don’t know what will.

I have never ever been disappointed in anything from this shop.
