Philodendron Summer Glory is a new hybrid of Philodendron gloriosum and an unnamed McColley’s hybrid. Philodendron Summer Glory has a terrestrial growth habit, which means it meanders along the soil surface and will not climb.
The emergent leaves on 'Summer Glory' appear a pinkish red before hardening off to green. An extremely stunning hybrid, 'Summer Glory' makes a great indoor plant!
Philodendron Summer Glory care:
Take care only to water your plant when it is almost completely dry. They prefer bright indirect light but will tolerate medium light levels.

Philodendron is one of the most popular genuses of Aroid that are currently in cultivation, with over 450 named cultivars.
Philodendron vary greatly in their natural habits, but you will find a large number of them located in Latin America. Their leaves range from small to medium to large to gigantic! You'll find Philodendron with smooth, glossy foliage and some with velvety foliage!
If you allow Philodendron to climb, their foliage will usually get much larger the higher up they get. While this isn't true for all Philodendron species -- it is for most. We recommend a coco pole to really get your Philodendron growing!
For the most part, Philodendron are easy to care for.

Okay I had mentioned in my other reviews that my plants did get bounced around during shipping I want to clarify that the plants were shipped properly and securely I just think it is expected and inevitable that things will get bounced around during shipping. It’s a risk I knew I was taking when ordering from Canopy Plant Co or any other vendor who ships plants.
Anywho, my Philodendron Summer Glory was the toughest out of the 3 plants I ordered! He has one yellowing leaf but I’m not even sure it was from shipping I think it is just the oldest leaf on the plant and currently I’m pretty sure he is blooming! 🤩 I am still new to being a plant parent and I have never seen a blooming Philo yet but the growth is not regular growth so I’m just assuming. 👀 I was a little worried at first that the bloom would be affected by the new environment because I live near Canada in the PNW, but nope! The Summer Glory has definitely been acclimating to his new home so well I have watered him once he perked up no problem I can’t wait to see new growth because you can definitely tell the leaves just keep getting bigger and bigger! I have watched him harden off the newest biggest leaf since I have had him the last 2 weeks and I’m obsessed with the colors he changes during his growing process!! If you are on the fence on this one do not hesitate hit that add to cart button! Definitely going to purchase from Canopy again because they have great prices for great plants! I’m already building a cart as I write this review! 😍🙌🏽👏🏽

Was very pleased with the size of the plant, so many large leaves! It did have a few yellow spots on the leaves that seem likely to be from the watering/shipping schedule but is definitely a healthy plant and a great size for the price.

This is plant is the best hybrid ever. THERE IS NO BETTER HYBRID. The leaf colors definitely change as the leaves push out and mature. Very low maintenance .
