Rhaphidophora decursiva variegated is a tropical plant species native to Southeast Asia. It's a climbing vine belonging to the Araceae family, known for its attractive variegated foliage and aerial roots. The leaves are glossy and deeply lobed with prominent veins, making them popular in indoor gardens and as houseplants in areas with suitable climates. This plant thrives in humid environments with indirect light and well-draining soil. It's often used for ornamental purposes, adorning trellises or cascading from hanging baskets.

Rhaphidophora decursiva variegated care:

This plant enjoys a well draining soil that is rich in organic matter.  Allow the soil to dry out almost completely before watering, taking care to not allow it to sit in excess water.  Provide your new Rhaphidophora decursiva variegated with plenty of bright indirect light.

Additional information:

Rhaphidophora are a genus of aroid native to many different countries in Africa and the Western Pacific. Rhaphidophora can be found growing in its natural habitat in Indonesia, Malaysia, etc.

In the wild, Rhaphidophora have a variety of growth habits. They can climb or spread as ground cover. If they are allowed to climb, Rhaphidophora leaves will become much larger and begin to fenestrate. They are semi-epiphytic. If they are not allowed to climb, some species of Rhaphidophora (Decursiva) will send out long leafless runners while they search for something to climb.

Rhaphidophora can grow in low indirect light but prefer medium to bright indirect light. If grown in low light conditions their growth will slow.

They tend to be easy to care for and make a great addition to any houseplant collection.
