6" Hoya compacta variegated 'Rope'

Love the variegated Compacta. A couple of the leaf strands were uprooted with their roots showing. I put them back under the soil as best I could. Hopefully they'll make it. Beautiful plant.

I’m stunned by the amazing condition and zero damage from shipping! I’ve been looking for so long for a variegated rope that wasn’t insanely overpriced and also that I trusted to be in good condition (risky since compactas are more pest-prone). This was my first order with Canopy & I’ll absolutely be back for many plants to come. It’s definitely on the smaller end but the peace of mind knowing it’s happy and pest-free (i’m a bit traumatized after getting a brand new green rope that had thrips, mealies, AND flat mites) is totally worth it.

After sitting on this plant for a while I came across the Black Friday sale and decided to go for it. It shipped faster than expected and got to me in perfect condition. I’m in love.

This has been on my list of dream plants for a while. I have a normal Hoya Compacta that one ended up separating and giving half to my father because he’s always loved that plant. Currently I have cuttings in fluval hoping to make my plant fuller again.

Anyways back to this plant:

I did notice that this had a little more potting mix moved around during transit than the other plant that it was shipped with, which is fine (and expected). I plan on going through and cleaning out each leaf before I put it in my plant room regardless. I did notice that some of the bottom of the hanging strands are bare but that could be from the plant producing flowers and it’s dormant season now, I do have some clone gel that I might add on to those spots eventually but I’m going to wait to see how it accumulates first. The variegation is nice and hopefully as it matures more will show through. Overall for the price and size, I am very very happy with my my purchase and currently am placing another order with Canopy.

This 6” compacta keeps selling out and there is a reason. This is my 2nd one from Canopy. I literally received this plant a few minutes ago and could not wait to write a review. The plant was packaged incredibly well and is so full and gorgeous! I’ve ordered many, many plants from Canopy and they have all been wonderful!

I’m literally obsessed with my Hoya. Plant came well packaged. My Hoya has multiple trialing points with great variegation. This is by far the best price I’ve seen on these. Super lush and healthy.

So happy with this purchase, been grinning and staring at it since I opened it :) packaged nicely, beautiful, healthy and shocked to not see any pests so far (was fully prepared to battle mealies, they love to hide in the crevices). Clearly a well cared for plant, with new growth on each stem and lots of variegation and large leaves :) was so excited to add this wishlist plant to my collection, and for such a great price point to boot!
