6” Piper crocatum

Piper crocatum is an alluring plant that sports green leaves with silver and pink hued veining.  The leaves have a glossy texture and are truly one of a kind!

Piper crocatum is a natural climber, so provide it with a pole or some other support structure to attach to.  You can grow your Piper in a hanging basket but they prefer to climb.

These plants will put out small crystals on the back of the leaves.  While commonly confused with a pest, these are called cystoliths and are not harmful to your plant.

Piper crocatum care:

They prefer a well draining soil rich in organic matter.  Allow the soil to dry out about halfway between watering.  Take care not to allow your Piper to sit in excess water.  Provide your new plant with bright indirect light and watch it thrive!
