6" Scindapsus 'Mount Salak'

$29.99

Care

 Bright indirect light

Allow soil to dry almost completely

Scindapsus 'Mount Salak' is an uncommon tropical indoor plant that sports heart shaped leaves with mottled, silver variegation.  While similar to Scindapsus Silver Splash, this plant tends to have more mottled patterning on the leaves.

This plant loves to climb so provide it with a pole or other support structure to attach to.

Caring for your Scindapsus 'Mount Salak' is fairly easy, but it does require a little extra attention.  This plant loves higher than average humidity to mimic its natural habitat.  Allow your plant to dry out about halfway between watering, taking care to not allow it to sit in excess water.  Provide it with plenty of bright indirect light.

Additional information:

Scindapsus are native to tropical areas in Southeast Asia.

While easily confused with and sometimes referred to as Pothos, they are in fact their own genus!

Scindapsus has quickly began gaining popularity as an easy to care for houseplant with unique colorful foliage.

The most common Scindapsus species, pictus, has many different variations -- all extremely popular and collectable. Their foliage comes in an assortment of colors but generally you'll find them with lots of silver and green variegation.

Generally easy to care for, Scindapsus will tell you when they're thirsty! Their leaves will curl as a signal that they need to be watered.

Scindapsus are commonly used in hanging baskets, but they also love to climb! We recommend a coco pole for these plants so they maintain nice sized foliage.

Growing Great

Gorgeous massive leaves to start with and already growing like crazy under my grow light! I can't wait to propagate the new vine once it's a bit more established so I can have another for my office ... or I might just have to get another so I don't have to wait!
